Sea Pearls Sea Sponge Tampon:

I LOVE these, after 8 years of using alternative pads/tampons, I can say that these are as perfect as you can get. They are sooooo soft, and I’ve never had a leak with these. Sea Pearls are completely natural sea sponge tampons containing no dioxin or synthetic fibers. Sustainably harvested in Florida and reusable for six months or more, Sea Pearls are economical, better for you, easy to use, and earth friendly! Do as Cleopatra, use the sea sponge! Made in USA.

Fussybutt Moonbow Cloth Menstrual Pads:

I can not RAVE enough about these cloth pads. They are by far the softest, cutest, most well made cloth pads I have ever tried. What’s genius about them is that they have a washable organic wool outer layer! So they are trim, not bulky as other all cotton pads, and anyone that has ever used natural cloth diapers with a wool cover knows how well wool holds liquid. These are hand-made in USA by Christy, a work at home mom. (I prefer her organic cotton velour and organic cotton fleece fabrics since they are made in USA.) Send her a message if they are out of stock and maybe you can custom order a set, these are WELL worth the great price. These pads are so nice that I’m replacing any other pads I have! I like using the Sea Pearls during heavy flow and pads for light flow. If you have a teenage daughter, these are ideal.

GladRags Menstrual Cloth Pads:

The quality does not compare to the Moonbows mentioned above, BUT they are the best vegan option I’ve found. Organic cotton cloth pads made in USA, have not gotten an answer from the company on where the fabric is from.

The Keeper:

Available since 1987, this is the alternative feminine hygiene product made from natural gum rubber (latex). This reusable menstrual cup collects the flow rather than absorbing it, so the vaginal tissues aren’t dried out as they can be by disposable tampons. The Keeper Cup holds up to an ounce of fluid and should be emptied several times a day; simply rinse and reinsert. The Keeper menstrual cup is not recommended for those with latex allergies. The Keeper can last up to ten years, FDA approved. Made in USA.

Moon Cup:

The Moon Cup Menstrual Cup provides you with the same benefits as The Keeper, but is made of soft, non-latex, medical grade silicone. Introduced in 2006, The Moon Cup is innovative, economical, comfortable, and environment-friendly. This soft, silicone menstrual cup collects the flow rather than absorbing it, so the vaginal tissues aren’t dried out as they can be with disposable tampons. The Moon Cup holds up to an ounce of fluid and should be emptied several times a day; simply rinse and reinsert. The Moon Cup is recommended for those with latex sensitivities. The Moon Cup can last up to ten years, FDA appoved. I prefer the Moon Cup to the Diva cup as it is made in USA and has less packaging.

  1. Hey, cool tips. Perhaps I’ll buy a glass of beer to the person from that forum who told me to go to your site 🙂
